Stood on a Cactus: Help Please
Well today was a day from a dark comedy.
I was trying to create some space in my garden to plant jasmine. I pulled out a large green Brazilian cactus, about 2 metres long. I placed it on the ground.
I was wearing Crocs at the time. This is important.
I tried to pull a large root from another plant out of the ground and lost my balance, tripping over a chair. My croc fell off my foot.
When I tried to rebalance I managed to stand with entire foot on the length of the cactus. Cue, screaming.
My partner comes down from the roof and carries me inside. Bless him. I was a real damsel in distress in need of rescue.
Soaked my foot, which was covered in soil and cactus spines. He managed to get most out with tweezers. Maybe 20 to 30. Some very deep.
Surprisingly, didn’t hurt that much at first, aside from the initial fall.
However. I can see now lots of tiny black dots in the bottom of my foot and it is incredibly sore. I can barely walk on it. Any advice on getting the tiny bits still embedded out?
I thought a foot peel with lactic acid, glycolic acid and urea might dissolve them?
Lesson for the day: wear appropriate footwear when gardening.
