#1 Common Red Oak Install Cost and Match
Question for the group. We have a house built in 2005, and almost the entire house except the bedrooms appears to be #1 common red oak from what I can tell. The floors were refinished in 2018 before we bought the house, so I do not know the exact stain color, but we are now looking to remove the carpet in all 5 bedrooms and closets, about 1,800 sq. ft. total, and match the existing hallway floor as closely as possible.
Based on my research, I am estimating roughly $3/sq. ft. for unfinished flooring, plus another $7 to $9/sq. ft. for the remaining labor and materials, including carpet removal but no furniture moving. Does that sound right? Also, does this look like #1 common red oak to you Question for the group.
