Is Evil Dead Rise the best entry in the Evil Dead series? Of course not.
But it is the best one to fall asleep to.

Aside from the opening scene, this movie takes place entirely at night.
The rain, the dark ambience, and the fact that it doesn’t rely heavily on jump scares means there aren’t any sudden loud noises all the time to jolt you awake.
Altogether, it’s kind of a perfect movie to put on when you can’t sleep.

I’ve also read that watching horror in a safe environment can actually make you feel even more secure.

Back in the day a worn GameBoy told a better story than a pristine one.

Every scratch, faded button and scratched up edge was proof of hours spent exploring worlds, beating levels and sharing moments of analogue joy.

It’s not damage, it’s history.

Keeping your Chromatic untouched on a shelf might preserve its appearance, but it erases the very purpose it was made for. Real value comes from use, from memories built through play, not from keeping something frozen in time like a decoration.
