Cura VS Orca

I’ve been considering to switch from Cura to Orca since I’ve started to upgrade the overall speed of printer (Ender 3 S1 Plus) and I can’t seem to get my prints matching the Cura quality. Left (Orca) and right (Cura) the print settings are nearly identical. The print time from Orca is about 30% less but I don’t want my print quality to suffer.

Any tips on how to work with the Orca slicer and the what to change for its engine?

Thanks in advance!

After a few years of just using my printer to upgrade itself and making random keychains, I’ve finally leaned into making functional prints that actually solve real problems.

We recently did a full overhaul of our workshop with new utility closets, tool racks, pegboards, and more.
What I noticed, though, was that the toolkits ended up going straight into the shelves and closets as-is, just moving the mess behind a pretty door instead of actually organizing anything.

So I decided to do something about it with the 3D printer…

In our workshop we work with loads of different drill bits, all stuffed in their own cases which were mostly empty space and cheap plastic. I spent the last week measuring our most-used bits and making custom holders for them. And I’ve been loving every single bit of it. I don’t think I can stop until every single tool is perfectly organized, because I don’t think this itch is going away otherwise.
