I'm super confused. Anytime I've had a flare-up in the past, it was always the same routine of getting it to come to a head, having it pop and then dealing with the open wound. Usually, the pain would get worse with each day until finally it pops and I get relief. However, this time my boil flared up a lot, but is now starting to hurt less and come down a bit?

I was in remission for a good few months, a pair of tight jeans single-handedly caused a relapse lol.

What is everyone else’s experience with boils? Do yours pop and drain, or do they shrink and disappear? Is one better than the other?
