Am I feeding my Bengal too much?
Hi,
We have just re-homed a 2 year old male Bengal. We really struggled to sleep with him the first few nights as he was being a typical Bengal and clawing/scratching/meowing/climbing up the wardrobe/hitting us in the face etc 😂
We did some research and have started feeding him directly before bed, doing lots of play before bed and keeping him mostly awake in the evening. Since the feeding especially things have improved, but now I’m worried I feed him too much!
He’s having:
1 pouch of wet cat food at around 7am (complete)
Dry food to graze on in the day time
1 pouch of wet cat food around 6pm (complete)
And then at night I am leaving out dry food and a lick mat of a combination of non-complete wet food (the healthiest I can find) and some protein.
Is this way too much?! He’s devouring it all and I read that young males need an extra amount of food but don’t want to over feed. I’m worried because he’s moved he is just having anything that’s in front of him because he is worried about the reliability of his next meal.
