(UK) seems my booking.com information has been compromised
Got a WhatsApp for a stay in Phuket, Thailand from a Brazilian number. Very clearly a scam which I've reported on WhatsApp and booking.com but more concerned that the details of my stay, my name and number have been leaked. I have attached the WhatsApp received, it's for a pet care in Brasil. Has anyone else had the same?
Wondering now whether to delete my booking.com and see if I can book with hotels directly, frustrating really. Hotel has also confirmed this is a scam.
I also remember recently receiving a message from booking.com that they have changed a pin code for a different stay which I found odd at the time, this just adds to my concerns. Either way I've made a complaint to booking.com, whether anything comes from it though, I'll wait and see.
