So I have been trying to create a new account to use on the Xbox 360 and I’ve had no luck with either creating one on the console itself, or downloading an already existing account.
Things I’ve tried so far:
-Making a new account from scratch on the 360 itself.
-Making an account on the PC and then trying it on the 360.
-Tried it with 2FA both OFF with the default password, and ON with an app password.
-Using the default DNS settings, my own custom DNS, and googles DNS.
-Loading up my Xbox profile on Xbox.com to make sure it touches their servers.
-Making sure all privacy settings are set to allowed.
-Tried all this on another 360 console.
My main account on my main 360 is on there and works perfectly fine, and I tested the network connection once again with various DNS settings and it all works fine. I’m even able to go online and get updates with no problems. Another thing I’d like to point out is that both consoles were on Ethernet, tried both on my network switch and straight from the router with no luck.
Are the servers really just completely toast at this point?? Feel free to suggest anything, maybe there’s something simple and stupid that I’m missing. Who knows?? 🧐
