Help me pick my first watch
I never used to wear watches, but since quite some time I read a lot about watches and wanted to get my first watch. I planned to get an automatic watch rather than a quartz, a good one under 25k cuz I plan to use this watch as a daily wear.
Initially I thought about getting a microbrand like DWC, boderry, addiesdive etc etc which would offer me an automatic watch with titanium and sapphire crystal, all under 15-20 k and I planned on getting the boderry voyageur which I'd get around 12k with discount or a DWC terra simply but then I thought about getting a known brand instead cuz spending that much money on a watch that most people doesn't even know the name of maybe isn't such a good idea.
Also, I planned on getting more than one budgeted watch but I've heard collectors saying on the long run it would be better to save for a better watch rather than making a hasty decision on buying a few cheap ones, I'd rather have 5-7 great watches after 8-10 years then 15-20 good watches. I mean, I've been eyeing Seiko pressage open heart and that Moon Phase watch by Frédérique Constant which at Helios they were giving at 84k with a 20% discount, and I plan on getting one in 1-2 year.
Which watch should I get under 20-30k at the max, but I'd like atleast a sapphire crystal glass, something clean or a good field watch, I love the alpinist and the khakee but those are not something you get under 30k so anything nice under that range, a known brand maybe, anything from the list above or apart from these that even after wearing for an year, I still would share the same amount of love for it as in the beginning and not regretting on saving and getting a better one.
