Thunder Dance: a debut series
Thunder Dance is my debut series, with the last book halfway done. As someone who don't find classic Tolkienesque fantasy interesting and does not hail from an Anglo-American country, this should offer something to read for people bored of the same old thing.
The stories are placed on planet Antoria, with its unique seasonal cycle and history that may at places seem anachronistic to someone, but the internal consistency is meticulously thought out.
Book One: The Thunder Dance:
ANYONE CAN LEARN THE SECRET.
THAT IS WHY IT MUST REMAIN ONE.
Sagiron never expected more from life than survival. But when he discovers a scroll hidden by a doomed heir, the symbols written upon it awaken a power he was never meant to find. Suddenly, the boy who could barely hold a sword can match seasoned fighters.
The scroll is the last surviving copy of the Prime Cipher: the code to the Secret, a latent skill any mind can learn, and any tyrant would kill to possess.
With the colonial empire’s knight-detectives hunting the artifact and his homeland in chains, Sagiron sets out to find the only allies who might be trusted with such knowledge. But every step brings the Cipher closer to discovery.
To free his homeland, he may have to use the Secret.
To save the world, he may have to destroy it.
