I started using tazorac about 6 weeks ago. I started with using the cream every other night, then switched to daily about 3 weeks ago. I use Cerave hydrating face wash in the mornings the apply the regular lotion and then in the evenings I use the CeraVe makeup removing wash and apply the thicker lotion in the tub. I wait a few minutes and then apply a pea sized amount of tazorac to my whole face.
I now am dealing with red bumps and tiny whiteheads mostly on my forehead and jawline. It's hard to tell just how inflamed it actually is in the photo. It's red and very bumpy with some peeling. Does this look like a typical purge, does it look like I need to back down to using the cream every 2 or 3 days instead of daily, or does it look like my skin is having a negative reaction?
I go to the dermatologist next week, but this breakout has me not wanting to apply makeup and go to work.
