I just recently picked up a 2001 triumph sprint 955i ST

Any recommendations what I need to get done to it or should do to it?

Previous owner changed oil, coolant tires and brake pads. I don’t know if the spark plugs have ever been done, but the check engine light just recently came on after sitting for a while in the spring before he started it up for the season.

My question is how hard is it to diagnose these bikes with check engine lights and what are the proper steps to keeping them maintained?
