So I have been living in my rental for about a year now in photos before I moved in that were taken from the Property manager you can see some water damage in the door frame that is right next to the shower. Today when I got home from work I closed the door to the bathroom and came out to my wall on the other side of the shower literally caving in on itself. (Pictures attached)
My question is should I be concerned about the black marking on the outside and inside of the wall being black mould? My other concern is if it is black mould and it’s been there the entire time I have lived here should I contact NSW fair and trading? And should I go to the doctor? (I haven’t had any concerning health issues but the wall now has a hole which means it’s out in the open)
*I have contacted my property manager and my landlord lives in the property so I did get him in to check it out this afternoon*
I do really like my landlord and I don’t think he would have done the shitty “landlord special” and just painted over the wall rot to “set it an forget it”. Mainly this post is asking should I be concerned and should I do anything further than asking to get it fixed.
