I built a lightweight Chrome extension for quick image edits: crop, resize, compress, rotate, flip, and export.

It’s called Ran Image.

The idea is simple: sometimes I just need to quickly resize an image for a website, crop a screenshot, compress a large file before uploading, or convert an image to PNG/JPG/WEBP — but opening a full design tool feels like overkill.

So I made a small Chrome extension focused only on common everyday image-editing tasks.

Current features:

  • Crop images
  • Resize photos
  • Rotate and flip images
  • Compress large image files
  • Export to formats like PNG, JPG, and WEBP
  • Simple workspace focused on quick edits

It’s mainly useful for content creators, marketers, students, developers, support teams, or anyone who often deals with screenshots and web images.

Chrome Web Store:

I’d really appreciate any feedback, especially around UX, missing features, or whether the workflow feels fast enough.

Hey everyone,

I built a small browser extension called PDF Watermark for adding clean text watermarks to existing PDF files.

You still select/upload PDFs into the extension, but everything runs locally in your browser. The files are not sent to a server.

The goal is simple: sometimes you need to mark documents as CONFIDENTIAL, INTERNAL, DRAFT, SAMPLE, or with a custom label before sharing them. I wanted a lightweight tool for doing that without relying on online PDF services.

What it does:

  • Add one or multiple PDF files into a local queue
  • Preview the watermark layout before exporting
  • Customize watermark text, size, opacity, rotation, and density
  • Apply one shared watermark setup across the whole batch
  • Export the watermarked PDFs back to your device
  • Process everything locally in the browser

I built it for people who work with internal documents, client samples, drafts, contracts, or PDFs they don’t want to send to random online tools.

Would love feedback from anyone who often works with PDFs. What watermark or export options would you expect in a tool like this?
