Me and my wife came to USA last year on L1 and L2 visa respectively(stamped) , but due to tech layoffs my L1 visa got revoked this year.
We did asked my wife’s employer if they can switch her to L1 visa. They did that eventually so I can move to L2 later.
( I didn’t simultaneously applied for L2 during her status change to keep my status valid )
Now I see there is long waiting period for COS for L2 status change ( I can see 8 months )
I have few questions so I can reduce my job search time :
Should I wait until my 8 months of waiting period elapse and inform other companies that if they can wait until?
Or should I visit my country if embassy will stamp my visa without my wife presence as she has valid L1 here in USA but not stamped.
If yes- what docs I need to carry?
