Leaky sink pipes need fixed

Leaky sink pipes need fixed

Few year lurker, first time poster. I've had this home for a couple years and the kitchen sink plumbing has always been a little bit of an issue. Now its on its last leg -- and my wife is nagging me about it to get it permanently fixed.

It appears that in the vertical section there are leaks at every connector, as well as it appears there's a leak in a seal with the actual drain itself.

What is the state of my plumbing? How much of it needs replaced? Is this something a noob can do? I have a few talented family members so I'm not illiterate on technical speak, but this would be a first plumbing action I've taken before.

Additionally, my wife would like a garbage disposal. If that is possible too, let me know.
