Will anything actually change in Bengal after the 2026 election?

So here’s the thing — now that BJP has won the Bengal election 2026, do you guys genuinely think things will change at the ground level?

Yeah, obviously the higher-up leadership changes, so maybe we’ll see some development projects, policy changes, different priorities etc. But local politics feels completely different.

Let’s say:

Person A is from BJP. Honest, hardworking, loyal to the party — but has little influence, no money power, and no local “network.”

Person B was earlier in TMC. He already controls the area, has connections, muscle power, money, and influence.

Now after the power shift, Person B switches sides and joins BJP. What happens next?

In most cases, the party leadership will prefer Person B because he can “deliver” seats, manage the area, and maintain control. Meanwhile the loyal grassroots worker who struggled for years gets sidelined.

That’s why I feel party names change, but the local power structure often stays the same. The goons, brokers, and influential people don’t disappear — they just switch jerseys.

Good individuals with actual potential get replaced because influence matters more than integrity in ground politics.

Curious what others think. Will Bengal actually change this time, or will only the party banner change?
