How do you decorate your art museums so they feel like art museums?
The new DLC is fun for sure but I'm not finding the design aspect as satisfying as usual. I think I'm just not vibing with the decoration options, partly because some of them don't make sense to me (I'm not into the pipes, and the supernatural theme and this one both think I want to leave a lot of crates and boxes around but are incorrect). But also because I feel like when I decorate, I'm cluttering up the space around the art instead of highlighting the art itself.
I love filling in all the space behind and around a prehistory or space exhibit, but it doesn't make as much sense to me with an art exhibit. If you look at the interiors of contemporary art museums, they do not tend to have much on the walls or floors other than the art. I kind of want to make a stark white architecturally dramatic gallery or something classical and composed like the National Portrait Gallery in London. What have you all been trying out? What's working to give you that art museum vibe?
