My mom needs an upgrade and we do a hand me down loop.

She gets my phone, my dad gets hers, I get a new one.

I have an s24 ultra right now that will go to her.

What should I get? Im kind of looking for a change from Samsung.

Im also fine downsizing as well, I find the S24 Ultra too big even though I have big hands.

Here's what I want and what I'm thinking.

- All day battery (email, scrolling reels, etc).

- good camera.

- Good cell connection.

Im a firefighter and I need my phone to have battery if im fighting a wildfire from 8am to 8pm. My s24 ultra is decent, but its at about 80% battery health.

Im thinking iPhone 17 pro. Smaller and from what I've seen a decent battery.

Or the Pro max if battery isn't good enough.

Im a summer student at a place that is a member of OMERS. Im 20 years old. Because I am a summer student i will only make about $12,000 the contribution is 9% matched at 100%

Should I take it? I like the match but im already investing in my TFSA (maxed) and FHSA started.

Do I take this?
