I have a lot of experience in a niche industry, and I'm trying to pivot into a different industry in a similar role.

I'm currently the GM/COO of a small industrial firm (30m in revenue, 100 employees). All of my experience is marine-related, as is this job, so I'm trying to pivot into a PE role as the operator in a roll-up company. I've hit a bit of a ceiling at around 300-350k total comp right now.

Two recruiters have found me in the past month or so since revamping LinkedIn to properly represent me and what I've done. I even ended up with a job offer from one as a regional SVP at a roll-up company in the services industry with equity and a base over 300k. So it seems recruiters are the way to go. My question is: should I contact them, or should I just wait for them to contact me? I've had the blessing of never having to look for a job since my first job out of the Navy. Since that job, the other 4 I've had were progressively better up to my current job, and I was reached out to directly and offered a job, so I really don't know how to pursue it! For reference, I have a degree from Penn, and I just started an executive MBA.
