How to stop biting the switch

Hey everyone,

I'm a newer player to fzero 99 but have played the original for years. I've lately come across an issue, sometimes when the game screws me over and makes me lose despite CLEARLY executing properly on the races. Normally when I get upset I have a habit of biting my switch in anger, it leaves marks on the joycons and screen from time to time but I don't really mind.

However, last night I was playing on my son's switch while he was asleep since mine was out of battery, I got clearly screwed by the game blowing me up when I still had a little bit of power, I bit the switch without thinking and left a few marks on his screen, it wouldn't bother me but he was pretty upset about it.

I guess my question is does anyone else struggle with this or have any tips or tricks to avoid biting their switch when they play? Like I said I don't mind it on my own but I don't want to have a repeat incident where I upset my son or damage his things. Thanks!

Tips for When the Game Cheats?

I have been playing F-Zero 99 for a few hours now and plan to become the best. I was about to secure my first ever top 5 (at level 7) and the game CLEARLY pushed my car in a direction I did not want to go and caused my opponent to win. I reacted and yelled so loud that my son woke up, causing my wife and I to get into an argument. I know that the game likely doesn't want low level players getting top 5s in races but I find it insane that they would go so far as to target and sabotage individual players like this especially those of my skill. Has anyone dealt with this who can give me some tips to counteract it? Or do I just need to increase my level?

I miss the tribal council music that used to play seasons ago, it felt reflective and meditative to a point and was a good way to cap off the episode and my night. It also felt like a good backdrop for Jeff to ask questions and the cast to reflect and atone on their past sins.

I also miss the sad music that used to play when Jeff would snuff someone's torch and they would walk away. It felt like they actually died. And you can imagine how that would be sad if you were actually playing survivor but for real. When my wife was alive sometimes we used to cry if someone we liked got voted off because it was like they were dying. Does anybody else miss the old tribal music?
