Cholesterol tests measure what’s INSIDE the particles.The NMR measures the particles THEMSELVES.
I have large, cholesterol-rich particles. So my cholesterol number reads high. But I have very few of them, which is what actually matters.
Ask for the particle test. The standard cholesterol panel alone can be sometimes be misleading.
