"I have been dealing with random clicks in my recordings for months. The click appears in the recorded file — it is a bipolar impulse visible in the waveform, a small spike up and down.
My setup:
Main PC: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, MSI board, DDR5, NVIDIA GPU, Windows 11 25H2 fresh install
4 different audio interfaces: RME Babyface Pro, Volt 276, and others
6 different microphones tested
3 different computers all with Windows 11 25H2
What I have ruled out:
All microphones and cables
All audio interfaces
Electrical interference and studio environment
Tested outside the studio with battery power and airplane mode
Tested at a different location 5 miles away
FL Studio, Cubase, Reaper and Audacity — all have the click
No plugins loaded in any DAW
NVIDIA HD Audio uninstalled
All drivers updated
Behavior:
Click appears randomly during voice — never during complete silence
Appears at beginning of phrases, between words, and mid-sentence
Becomes more frequent as recording time increases
Visible in waveform as a bipolar impulse
What helped but did not fix it completely:
MMCSS registry tweaks: SystemResponsiveness=0, Pro Audio Priority=1, SFIO Priority=High, Scheduling Category=High, GPU Priority=8
USB power management registry changes
bcdedit /set useplatformtick yes and disabledynamictick yes
Has anyone solved this completely? What fixed it for you?"
