Under Eye Fat Repositioning & Fat Grafting in Korea at Garnet
*I got a small discount for writing this review and agreed to let the clinic use my photos for marketing, but this is 100% my honest experience. I’m using an anonymous account with no post history to share my experience with plastic surgery in Korea for personal reasons.
I’ve always had quite hollow under-eyes (genetic), and over time the combination of a deep tear trough and dark circles made me look constantly tired and a bit drawn, even though I’m still in my 20s. It was something I felt quite self-conscious about, especially in certain lighting or in photos.
Before deciding on surgery, I tried a few non-surgical options like under-eye skin boosters and various creams, but nothing really made a noticeable or lasting difference. That’s what led me to consider fat grafting for a more natural and longer-term improvement.
I found Garnet through Reddit reviews. I also checked some local Korean platforms like Unni, which helped me get a better sense of their reputation.
In total, I had consultations at three different clinics. One clinic only recommended lower blepharoplasty, and another suggested just one round of fat grafting. Both felt quite expensive and the consultations were fairly brief, so I didn’t feel fully confident moving forward with either.
Garnet felt different from the start. The consultation was calm and not rushed, and they went into quite a lot of detail. They explained why my under-eyes looked the way they did, what approach would suit my face, and how they would place the fat to keep the result natural. I appreciated that they focused on subtle improvement rather than overcorrecting.
Another reason I chose them was that they have one experienced doctor who focuses on facial procedures and works with both younger and more mature patients. The clinic itself was also very clean and organised, which made the whole experience feel more reassuring.
I had the surgery last month, so I’m now about one month post-op. The initial swelling and bruising were manageable and have mostly settled at this point. The change isn’t dramatic in an obvious way, but my under-eyes look much smoother and less hollow.
A lot of people have said I look more refreshed, and some think I’ve just been sleeping better. No one’s really guessed I had anything done, which I like.
Overall, I’m quite happy with the result so far. It looks natural and soft, and I feel like it’s improved the tired look I used to have without changing my face too much.
