About the Role: We are currently seeking an experienced Storyboard Artist or Visual Director to design and guide the cinematic execution of our upcoming video project. The ideal candidate will possess a strong eye for visual storytelling and a deep understanding of cinematography, including shooting angles, camera movements, and scene pacing.
How It Works: You will be provided with a complete, finalized script. Your primary responsibility will be to translate this text into a comprehensive visual storyboard and detailed shot list that our production team can follow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visual Interpretation: Break down the script line-by-line to determine the most impactful camera shots (e.g., close-ups, wide angles, establishing drone views) for each scene.
- Camera Direction: Specify camera movements (e.g., tracking, panning, tilting) and visual transitions to enhance the narrative flow.
- Pacing & Timing: Establish the rhythmic pacing of the video, including identifying critical moments for silence, dramatic pauses, and auditory cues.
- Actionable Guidance: Provide clear, organized visual direction that tells the camera crew exactly "when to shoot what" to bring the script to life.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in storyboarding, cinematography, or film directing.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to translate written concepts into compelling visual sequences.
- Deep knowledge of camera terminology, shot types, and cinematic techniques.
Compensation: This is a paid role. Rates and total compensation will be discussed upon review of your portfolio and experience level.
How to Apply: If you have a passion for visual storytelling and the technical knowledge to back it up, please reach out with your portfolio or examples of previous shot lists and storyboards you have created.
