I ordered a 1680 case from rafflesdials and the crown wont thread onto my 2824 stems. It just slides over it and slides off.
I sent this video to ken and he said i just need to glue it onto the stem.
Ive always been able to thread my crowns onto the stems to test fit the stem length before needing to use lock tight. Is this normal for the raffles crown to not thread at all and you have to just glue it in place?

Total cost was around $125. I think the last thing needed to just get the look a little closer is brushing the top of the lugs. Other than that though i think it came out pretty solid.
NH05, Bligger case, aliexpress bracelet, aliexpress crown, aliexpress hands, and a real 6917 dial. I'II probably brush the lugs to get it a touch closer to gen, but the thickness/bulkiness of this case will never be 1:1.
I think it came out pretty solid and I'm happy with it. All in cost is around $125
Just brushed the top of the lugs using 280grit sand paper and posished the case sides. First time trying case finishing and although the brushing could be more pronounced and directional im happy with it.
Swapped the original non engraved bezel insert with an engraved black and grey insert, new higher quality hands that also look closer to real gmt master ii hands (original hands looked like submariner hands and the gmt hand was too small), and changed the datewheel for one with rolex style font.
Was going for this look and I feel like its pretty close. Cant complain for $200.
