Hey everyone, I’m in a bit of a stressful situation and would really appreciate some perspective.
I’ve been accepted to a newer DO school, and I am beyond grateful for my acceptance. I’m currently trying to figure out housing. I found a potential roommate and things are moving forward, but I’m hesitant to fully commit.
I interviewed at PCOM last week and they said decisions could take 4–6 weeks, so I likely won’t hear back anytime soon. I would probably choose PCOM if given the options.
I don’t want to hold my potential roommate up or put them in a bad situation, but I also don’t want to delay housing too long and lose good options.
So my questions are:
Is it normal to move forward with housing at your current school while waiting on another decision?
If you sign a lease and then get accepted somewhere else later, how difficult is it to get out of it or find a replacement?
