Hey r/hyderabad 👋
A week ago, I posted here asking for food recommendations for my one day in Hyderabad. You all came through — and one name kept showing up: Special 9.
So I went. Alone. With a bus to catch in an hour.
The place had a 30-minute wait. My heart sank. I walked up to the host — a genuinely warm guy named Suresh — and told him about my bus. He smiled and said honestly, "Sir, for one person it's difficult..."
But then he paused.
"Wait — there's one more person here, also alone. Let me check if you two can share a table."
He walked across the waiting area to a stranger — Eshawar — and without missing a beat, this guy just said: "Yeah, let's go."
Suresh got us seated. And that's where the magic started.
The food? Bhai. THE FOOD. Every single bite was proof that Hyderabad doesn't play around. You were all right and I was underprepared for how good it actually was.
But while I was busy having a food moment, something else was happening across the table.
Eshawar and I started talking. Really talking. By the time the plates were cleared, we had laughed, exchanged numbers instagram, and somehow — without planning any of it — become friends.
He didn't stop there. This guy dropped me to my bus stop. And on the way, he bought me sweets to carry home.
A stranger an hour ago. Now a friend I'll remember every time I eat something good.
None of this happens without Suresh quietly choosing to do the extra thing. That one small act of kindness put two strangers at a table — and changed the whole evening.
Hyderabad, you fed me well. But more than that, you gave me one of those stories I'll be telling for years.
Now — a shoutout I genuinely mean:
Eshawar, the guy who said yes without hesitation, shared a meal with a stranger, dropped him to his bus, and sent him home with sweets — runs a creative film production company called Cine Alchemy 🎬

If his warmth as a person is anything to go by, the work will be just as good. Drop a ❤️ on his page — he deserves it.
Thank you Hyderabad. First visit. Definitely not the last. 🙏
