How to get more zeal and love for God?

Hey. I was recently baptised, but have believed in God for quite some time now. I am happy to be Christian, but overall, I am struggling a lot. I see many pious people who seem to live for God and be on fire for Him, particularly many converts, but I, as a convert, feel as though my relationship with God often seems to include me being afraid of God, avoiding and fleeing from Him, being lazy to do "Godly" things like reading the Bible, and overall feeling tired and discouraged really often.

I know it is not healthy to compare myself with others. But I truly feel like I am missing something. Moreover, I believe that I so often choose other things above God, such as the gym, or being occupied with other things. It feels challenging to explain, but what I believe is happening is that I like to be busy and do things (like the gym or hobbies), and I feel like I live for these things instead of for God, as when I think about Him, I often "groan" in my heart.

Is there anything recommended that I do to become more zealous and loving of God?
