I’m at the point where I am making an additional $500-$1000 monthly from my side hustle. Not enough to quit my job by any means but I’m wondering if it’s worth doing a bit more to legitimize my side hustle to see if I can get some sort of write off when it comes to taxes.

I don’t know if I make enough to go the LLC route but I’ve seen some research and wondering if a sole proprietorship may work as well.

I also wanted to see if I can start making some purchases as well related to the business and hope to do tax write offs on this as well.

has anyone done this before? Is it worth it or am I better off or is not the worth the hassle?
