So according to the title, I got accepted from Penn State at University Park campus with Data Sci major, UW Seattle and Virginia Tech waiting list (not considering). I'm a CA resident, and I'm currently thinking to go to community college bc I realize I might not able to afford ba loans on my own + I rlly wanna earn a master degree, (u k the workspace these days) which also cost me a lot. Now I'm more on the cc side, (free tuition + live at home) but just see how hard to transfer to UCs w/ the same major, I've changed my mind a bit; I've a rlly weak foundation on math and programming, which is a part what I worried bc the class pace at Penn State might gives me a hard time to catch up.
Any advice or anyone has experience this before? I'm the first gen to go to college here, may I've info abt how's life in cc and the class difficulty? TYSM!!!
(btw i got rejected by UCB, UCLA, UCD, UCSD, UCI & UCSB with the same major this march, super competitive in the bay area)
