A friend of mine adopted 3 cats about 10 years ago, and has moved countries and states with them, currently in Southern California. The cats are indoors, 2 males and 1 female. From what I understand, the last move was pretty stressful for the cats, especially after they watched a cat fight, and now the 2 males fight with each other and pee in the house. My friend lives in a small 1bed house, and is very patient, changing pee pads several times a day. According to her, the ideal solution would be to split the two boys for a couple of months (in a bigger house, possibly 2 bedroom+) and then reintroduce them. She is not looking to re-home any of them. To make matters potentially worse, she has decided to leave the US and move back to her country where the cats will have a bigger space. This decision will upend her life, and I'm not sure if it's the right decision. I sincerely wish to help her in this situation, however I don't have any experience with cats, hence reaching out to you all for help. Please feel free to ask me questions and I'll try my best to give a clearer explanation of the situation. What can be done here?
