So I've been interested in 40k for years but never really got around to trying it out. I briefly bought some sort of starter box of Necrons back in 2016, assembled and painted two minis, then sold them to someone maybe 3 months later after not touching them again. However, over the last 4-5 months, a couple friends of mine have been telling me I need to play with them just about every Thursday when I go to their house for a dinner get together. They always show off the most recent units they built and painted and invite me to come play with them using one of their armies.

I don't know what the final straw was but I decided to randomly visit my local game store on the way home from work and ended up picking up a Farsight Cadre box since they didn't have the Tau Combat Patrol in stock at the time. I don't know what wizardry GW uses but I was instantly hooked and just went nuts buying more Tau units. I also had a previous vacation scheduled to the UK and managed to convince my wife to let me go to Warhammer World last minute.
