I can't decide between the two, I really like how kind the Holy nation has been to me for carrying around their best selling book, but the UC is my best customer for expensive goods and made me a millionaire and I can always find cheap labor.

Cons: Holy Nation took my soldier drone to rebirth, small sacrifice for opening trade. United cities doesn't seem to have good base locations.

Not doing a HN playthrough but I never let my main character lose arms or legs because I didn't like the aesthetic. If someone lost an arm I left them with one arm, or if they lost a leg I just feed them to the cannibals or animals.
