Is Edinburgh College (Sighthill) actually that bad? Honest opinions wanted.
Hi everyone, I’m 38 and looking at doing a Physical Sciences course at the Sighthill campus.
I’ve heard mixed things about the college and the area—some people say the facilities are great, while others act like it's a place to avoid at all costs. Since I’m looking to change careers and get back into education, I don't want to waste my time if the reputation is actually deserved.
For those who have been there recently:
The Course: Is the Science department actually decent? Are the labs and tutors good, or is it a bit of a mess?
The Reputation: Is it "bad" because of the teaching, or is it just because the area isn't exactly the West End?
The Vibe: As a mature student, am I going to regret picking this campus?
I’d appreciate any honest feedback—don't sugarcoat it. I just want to know what I’m actually signing up for.
