So...I'm helping to liquidate an estate with a sizable amount of high-end antiques, and this is one potential piece. I say potential, because I can't validate the backstory on this guy...yet.

The family tells me that it was obtained in the early 1980s in ATL for $6000 from a seller, who obtained it from an individual who was assisting in the renovation of an old theater in Boston years prior. The claim it that it was used in a theater for the original run.

That's all the information I have. The one thing I have going for the story, is that I've authenticated a good amount of their items so far, all the way up to the $100k+ range, so it's not out of the realm of possibilities that it COULD be something special.

Ultimately, it'll either wind up at auction or in the hands of a private collector, if I can verify authenticity. If anybody could point me in any avenues to explore for potential info - I'd definitely appreciate it!

Hi all. Working for a client who has a multi-generation antique/collectibles estate. Items going back to the 1700s, absolutely immense.

Anyway, I was told by the owner that is is an authenticated (no COA) 1912 Titanic Mourning Bear, and she says that it is 100% not the replica version. Naturally, I'd like a bit more certainty than this before I start reaching out to the larger antique houses.

It seems like they started making the replicas in 1991, if I am researching correctly? If that IS the case, I feel pretty good on this one, as it very obviously SEEMS to pre-date 1991 (and they do have a massive collection of bears from the early 1900s, with very few items crossing into the 1990s).

It's in my possession currently (although in a humidity-controlled off-property, so I cannot get more images currently if requested). Any insight from you fine folks here, or any direction you can point me in?

Thank you!

Just wanted to share an amazing piece that has recently come into my possession (it will be sent to auction at some point this year, but I'll be enjoying it in the meantime!)

Hi all!

Working on selling off an antique estate, have these two Dali pieces in there. Not Park West, I promise. They appear to be pretty special, especially the Drawers of Memory, but I'm just trying to understand the variance in the ones I've seen, especially on why these are numbered vs un-numbered ones out there.

The first, Paradise 19 (Paradiso Canto: 19), I've seen a few online, but haven't found one like this, that was numbered + signed.

The second, "Drawers of Memory" is a litho, signed. Also numbered out of 150.

Anything at all you can tell me, I'd truly appreciate!

Hey all. Came across this, what I believe, is a 1920s Oak buffet here in Florida from an antique seller. Everything seems to be original, missing one lock plate & one cabinet handle as you can see.

She's asking $480. Price tag from the store had it at $950, but, I know that's just an old asking price, irrelevant. Would this be a horrible buy if I can get it at $400?

Thank you!
