I’m searching for my lost friend
I had a strong emotional attachment to this claw machine stuffed animal. His name was Sam. I got him from a claw machine in a Golden Corral in Norfolk, VA in 2019. I don’t remember Sam’s brand unfortunately.
I used to take him on all my adventures. He had some pictures in some pretty cool places. That was our thing. My whole family and all my friends were in on Sam and his adventures. He even went with me to get emergency gallbladder surgery.
Unfortunately my ex in Bowling Green, KY (just incase someone has seen him in a thrift store or something) decided the best way to get to me was to steal him and pretend he was lost and I’ve felt a little lost since. I constantly check every claw machine I see just hoping to see another one but no luck.
I just discovered this subreddit and I thought why not post here and see what could come from it. Any idea where I could find another Sam?
Edit to add: My ex took Sam a few years ago (August 3, 2023) so I’m not super hopeful of getting him back. I’m just hoping to figure out how to maybe replace him. If I could figure out his brand or if anyone has any ideas where to look.
Update: Thanks to u/Amiruhn I have found out that Sam’s brand is Kellytoy Beanpal. Also in all my searches I’m finding that I get closer looking for a tiger rather than a zebra which would make him so happy to know. He was always very adamant that he was not a zebra!
I have officially found his brand and have even gotten closer looking to stuffies that look very close to him, just not the right color. Still looking for one that looks just like him and with a purchase option. I am willing to purchase a bulk amount of stuffies for just him if I have to.
