We have 9 presently (and ideally double as many) Steath brand trail cameras on our 100 acres up in northern Wisconsin. We’re fighting keeping batteries going throughout the winter on the cameras. Note, Duracell batteries were crap compared to the cheap Rayovac ones we got from L&M. Our thing is we don’t get up there after we winterize our cabin in October until we open it up in May at the earliest. Of our 9 cameras, the least visited 4 are still, barely, hanging on.

Anyway, at $60-$100 a pop for a battery + solar charger is a bit rich for our blood to convert all the cameras and add more. So, I’m exploring alternatives, and yes, like Temu.

And, I don’t need the blah blah blah trash talk on Temu. Yes, there’s a mixed bag of great stuff and 💩 there.

Anyway, anyone have a budget friendly alternative? Any suggestions for the battery and solar panels. I mean I found great solar panels for our Ring cameras for $15/piece on Amazon. So, my question is whether there’s good cost effective rechargeable batteries that aren’t name brand.

The solar panels seem pretty straightforward, I’m really struggling to find the batteries. Has anyone found a good system that’s not the proprietary get-up?
