Retail LP manager, my company is opening a location in a new jurisdiction. I have no contacts or rapport with any LE in this county. Previously the company has done coffee with a cop, or had donuts catered and delivered to the station and I go and meet beat officers and detectives.
This is a more upper class, LE friendly jurisdiction, and there is a super amazing coffee and donut place literally next to the PD so that kind of makes the coffee/donut thing a little less appealing and since the community is LE friendly they probably get food and stuff a lot. Boss wants me to figure out a gift bag for the cops, probably going to do a few dozen of them. The items inside should be things that can be sourced in bulk ideally, and be QoL and useful things for the average officer.
For example, rite in the rain notepads, quality handcuff keys (need to confirm what model the PD uses), small obvious things like heavy duty general purpose wipes will be in there. Looking at adding a few more things into them. I want things that the average cop might not have, or have enough of, and would be likely to actually be used and not just tossed into the bottom of a patrol bag.
Money isn’t the biggest concern because it’s on the company’s dime.
So what do you guys n gals recommend?
