TLDR: I had a terrible acid trip, and ever since my FND symptoms are much worse.
8 months ago I had an accident, where I hit my head pretty badly, and half my body was temporarily paralyzed.
Ever since then, the left half of my body, and especially my left leg feels off, it feels weak and clumsy, it takes a lot more effort to walk on my left leg, than on the right one. The doctors did CT, MRI, EEG and standard neurological controls multiple times and confirmed that my brain fully healed, and that my symptoms are likely due to FND.
The symptoms have been fluctuating heavily, on some days it was so bad I was having a hard time walking, on other days it was perfectly good. It depended heavily on my mood and it almost always went away when I was with friends having a good time, or when I was intensively occupied with something.
I had an LSD trip in December, my symptoms were quite mild at the moment, and it barely even crossed my mind during the trip, I had zero problems with it, had a great time. It wasn't my first trip, I've had about 15 LSD trips before.
However, I had another trip 3 days ago, where my symptoms were initially much worse, and during the trip, it became reeeally bad. I couldn't not feel it, it was really difficult to walk, I started panicking, had the worst bad trip of my life. It was absolutely traumatizing, I felt brutally helpless.
Ever since this experience, my symptoms became a LOT worse. It's now 0-24 intense weakness and clumsiness in both my left limbs, it takes a huge mental effort to walk or to type, and I have severe depression (like I'm having a really hard time convincing myself to get out of bed, because I know I will be faced with the feeling of my left limbs not working properly).
Has anyone had a similar experience? Will this get better? Obviously I'm gonna go to the doctor, but I'm terrified and in dire need of some empathy right now...
