WG Tech's Glass Substrates for Mini-LED Backlights and Through-Glass Vias (TGV)
EDIT: 4:50 for concept 32" monitor that looks like a single piece of glass. 7:00 for a real world monitor using the backlight (hisense GX32).
Found this on a TV forum, but they showed off monitor applications as well around 2:30, really cool tech which I hope makes it to consumers soon.
At 3:55 you can see a glass board with much higher density of LEDs than current PCBs allow.
It's also really cool how thin the monitors and TVs they showed are, producing much less heat and how they can make the backside transparent to use the minileds for bias lighting too.
