We only get fast food or fast coffee maybe once a month. We don’t buy quick/prepared foods or microwave meals cuz those are pricey. We shop the loss leaders in the grocery ads and do meal prepping. We don’t buy sodas, bottled waters, or raw cuts of meat since frozen is cheaper. In what ways do you guys cut back to budget in the pricey renal foods?
I splurged on the chewy coupon deal to spend $100 and get a $30 gift card so we could try out the weruva low phos canned foods and treats on him. He kinda mostly likes them so, yay? But there aren’t any coupon deals on the Hills Rx or Royal Canin Rx foods. And he completely stopped eating the Hills foods anyway. How do you manage the emotional side of your cat refusing to eat? My feelings range from dread, frustration, despair, anxiety, & rage when I look at all the things he won’t eat and the money wasted. And now I need to find a home for the stuff he won’t eat before it expires and that’s just another chore to add to the list and i only have one day off so i gotta go do dishes and laundry and cooking and *dissociates into doom scrolling*
