Like completely. No new chunks, no infinite terrain, just what I’ve already loaded.

See, I want to do a polyworld — a long term / forever world that starts on an old version and is converted through every version from then up to today — but I what to actually see what exists today.

Ignoring the difficulties with that project — this isn’t a question about polyworlds specifically — I eventually plan to merge it with my current forever world, and for that I need to actually *see* the current world. Not the world as it continuously calculates new terrain wherever I look, but as it exists, right now, without the act of observation causing it to change.

The first idea that comes to mind for me is of a mod that would generate nothing, or change the world generation to be only barrier blocks, or something like that. Wouldn’t need to find a way to completely *prevent* chunks from loading, as altering what is loaded to be nothing is good enough.

For Java edition, I should add. I usually use Prism Launcher with Fabric, but all suggestions are welcome.
