Contract clause forbidding salary negotiations

Backstory, this company likes to hire foreigners under training pass to sg. The agreement is that they sign a bond to be under training in sg, and after that they can choose to continue working here or go back to their home countries to serve the bond.

While they are already in sg, now these trainees were given an addition to the contract where it states that upon training completion, they are not allowed to negotiate or revise the offer given by the company. Any attempt to do so and not signing the employment offer within the timeframe will be treated as the trainee has break the bond.

The only reason this was added was because there were many problems in the previous batch where the graduated trainees tried to negotiate their salary, which from what I heard was extremely low.

Is this type of contract even legal? It sounds extremely scummy.
