Manu 8.413: “A Śūdra, whether bought or unbought… shall make to do servile work”; he was created for “servile work for the Brāhmaṇa.”
Manu 8.417: “The Brāhmaṇa may confidently… seize the goods of the Śūdra”; the Śūdra “has no property.”
Manu 10.129: “The Śūdra shall not amass wealth”; after acquiring wealth, “the Śūdra harasses the Brāhmaṇas.”
Manu 10.125: “Remnants of food and worn-out clothes shall be given to him; as also the grain-refuse and old furniture.”
Manu 1.91: “For the Śūdra the Lord ordained only one function: the ungrudging service of the said castes.”
Manu 10.123: “The service of the Brāhmaṇa is… the distinctive duty of the Śūdra; everything else… is fruitless for him.”
Manu 1.93: “The Brāhmaṇa is the Lord of this whole world” in matters of Dharma.
Manu 1.96: “Among men, Brāhmaṇas” are foremost.
Manu 1.99: “The Brāhmaṇa… becomes supreme on earth; he is the supreme lord of all beings.”
