Water in my pitcher is reading at 0PPM but changes after I pour it?
Hi all, wasn’t sure where else to post this. We’ve had our pitcher for about a year now and we love it. I am familiar with how the flavor changing seems to indicate when it’s time to change filters. Currently, our water is reading at 0PPM but as soon as I pour it into my metal tumbler it’s reading at 16PPM. I have washed my tumbler at least 3 times now, wondering if maybe that was the issue but it’s still tasting funny as soon as it hits my tumbler. I’ve noticed it tasting off when it’s been poured into a clean glass (which then reads as 1PPM) but the flavor is not nearly as noticeable/offensive to me as when it’s in my tumbler. It’s sort of an earthy flavor, I’m not sure how else to describe it. The water that has just come through the filter and is sitting in the pitcher is reading at 0PPM. My mom hasn’t noticed any funny flavor in her own tumbler which is also reading at 0PPM. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? Thanks in advance!
