New guinea refusing to eat veggies??
I am an experienced Guinea Pig owner of 6 years and have owned a total of 7 guinea pigs I have rescued myself from past owners and I just recently rescued one that is 4 years old, she apparently was from petsmart/petco and was completely by herself pretty much her whole life. When I picked her up I realized this was a classic case of your typical married couple buying a pet for their toddler (never a good idea imo) and came with questionable things such as a guinea pig snail costume?? (didn't know they made those) anyway she is the most skittish piggy I've ever had and seems to not even dare look at a carrot, lettuce, banana peel, piece of apple??? I am at a loss, she shows absolutely no interest and doesn't bother to even try and sniff said veggies or any fruit for that matter. She eats her hay and feed just fine and keeps good weight I'm just trying to figure out why she doesn't care about fresh yummy veggies at all. -edit Thank you all for your suggestions I really appreciate the help as this is a new one to me so thank you again!
