For context, I played apex on xbox when revenant came out as the new legend. I accumulated 120+ days on the game, have spent about $700, and I have a great emotional attachment to my account. I am level 839 and have an heirloom and way too many skins to count and battle passes completed.
For some more context, my parents have recently split, tldr my dad is evil and they are going through the courts for multiple different cases. I stopped talking to my dad a little over a year now due to his treatment of me and my mother.
I stopped playing apex around 2 or 3 years ago and recently wanted to get back into it. My EA account was made in 2016 when I was a minor and so it was created with my dads email but it has my phone number on record. However it has always been my account, he has never used the account, has never made any purchases, played any games etc. i have been the only one to actually use the account. I made the switch from console to pc so I was trying to login for cross progression. However my phone number recently changed so I had to go through EA support as I did not have access to either the email nor the phone number. They were very helpful i logged into my account on my xbox and did the email change through that. So the email was updated but not yet the phone number. As i go to change the phone number i noticed that the email had reverted back to my dads email. I refreshed and it turns out he had reverted the email change i had made as well as put his own phone number down as well and change the user ID. He then unlinked my xbox account and signed me out everywhere. I messaged him confronting him and the reason he did this was out of pure pettiness. Again he has no need for the account as the account has always been mine just under his email and name. I went through EA support to help me again but they said I have to wait 72 hours before they could possibly help me again. I have receipts of purchases, gameplay, friends list, etc. the only thing that i did not have was access to the email. I’m scared that he is going to delete my account. Does anyone know anything I could or should do? Or do I just pray to get it back.
