So im doing a 2 motion shot with a lift that touches my hair. Some hoopers my age (14) are laughing cuz of it, can somebody guide me?
Also i dont make that many shots but i am comfortable with it.
Hi, young blood here! I started basketball in 2025, but I didn’t really train that much, and I’m mostly self-taught. Some stuff I learned from my uncles too. The interesting part is that I just played my first 5v5, and I had a lot of fun even though I only hit one 3-pointer because I only recently learned how to shoot them. 😃
I’m confident in my 3-pointers, but I’ve only been shooting from the front part of the arc. I played as a shooting guard, and my teammates kept making me shoot corner 3s, which I still can’t really do yet. After the game, I realized I barely played any defense and was mostly just waiting for the ball. 😀
When should I ask for passes? Dude, seriously, I’m a sharpshooter, but it feels embarrassing to ask for the ball. Being open with no defender is a given, but what else am I missing? One time I asked for a pass and they didn’t pass it, so I pretty much lost confidence in calling for the ball. 🤐
How do I play defense and offense? Bro, I know you gotta be shifty and stuff, but what are the basic things I should actually do instead of just drills or practices? My opponents keep blowing past me, and I’m not even standing still because I make sure my legs keep moving a lot. 🤨
Overall, what exactly should I do as a shooting guard? Just give me a general idea. 🫠
When im tryna do some 3s my form gets ruined almost automatically so im thinkin about working my body out but im afraid of body imbalance if i would only train my arms so does anybody got some workout routine thatll balance my upper and lower? And while your at it please give me some tips on longer shot range.
