Boss Doesn't Tell Me What They Want Upfront and Takes Over Shoot. What can I do?

I am a videographer for a small company and we got a new marketing director. I can tell this person has a vision for what they want, but they have this habit of not telling me what that vision is up front, AND taking over the shoot by the reins.

I don't know how to tell them "hey, can you do your job, and I can do mine?"

Basically, she pitches an idea for a video of what she wants, then I make it happen, I show her the video and it's always off. And then she cleans it up herself, instead of letting me clean it up.

Recently I had to add captions to a video and I was going to ask if she had certain captions in mind, but I don't. Sure enough, I submit the video and she tells me the captions are off, and she will do them herself.

I don't know how to talk to her about this issue.

Animation Not Exporting Correctly

I have a short animation (lower third animation) where text slides in and then out of frame. Lasts three seconds. I have exported this effect before, but now it's not working.

I hit export, add to render queue, select format (QuickTime) , channels: RGB + Alpha (I need a transparent background), then I try to export it and it says Quicktime is not supported.

Not sure why this is happening.

Have you ever reported your apartment building for stuffy air?

I am living in a bad condo right now and the staff leaves the heat on high all the time, and the vents in the summertime (that help the air get out of the top level of the building) do not work half the time.

I've realized it's just stuffy, stuffy air, vs mold or something.

I haven't been diagnosed with asthma, but I have asthma-like symptoms when I'm in this building. It really scares me and I feel like I need to report the bad air quality to someone, but I worry about other people getting kicked out vs finding a solution to the issue.

Have you ever reported bad air quality in a condo/apartment?
